THE BANDIT STARTED IT ALL.

Rick Deiters started collecting after falling for the Bandit in 1977 at age 11. That lifelong obsession brought him the privilege and good fortune of meeting Burt Reynolds and sharing time with him on many occasions. It soon became a family passion, shared with his wife Maru and their son Andrew. Today, they work side by side as a team at Trans Am Specialties of Florida, focused on 1970–1981 Trans Ams, from faithful frame-off restorations to builds ranging from stock power to mild power, 300 to 400 horsepower, and even more, up to 1,000 horsepower. They also offer real Special Editions or Special Edition tributes designed to adapt to your budget.

Their passion now carries the Trans Am legacy forward, with Trans Am Specialties of Florida serving as the exclusive dealer for Trans Am Worldwide and offering both of its modern icons: the Trans Am and the 70/SS. Every project starts with the same standard: understand the car, protect its identity and build it with the next owner in mind.
