We just came across this  1978 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 Special Edition model with Hurst t tops , which is desirable since Hurst hatches were discontinued that year in the middle of the production. Is also a performance package WS6 code car.  This is a solid car that is a driver and will not take much to be taken to the next level. The paint is decent with some issues here and there such as minor door dings, some cracking in some spots like on top of one fender and roof, easy fix by any experienced painter. Interior is decent, the driver seat  has a split on the cushion, easy fix, previous owner put new door panels, but he put the standard instead of deluxe, we carry these in stock if you want to replace. Also original radio was replaced with a CD player, we carry original A/C delco radios already restored and ready to install, if interested please ask for pricing . The car has power windows and they do work as it should, this is a factory A/C car but the compressor was removed , but we have it and goes with the car. Underside frame rails are solid, there is  surface rust as any older car , maybe a couple of small patches will be  required (typical of t  top cars) . Under the hood there is a  Pontiac 400 that  runs strong, automatic tranny shifts as it should, overall is a car that has great potential, so here is the deal: due to the fact we are overloaded with restorations we will give the opportunity to buy "as is" for a discounted price, please notice this is not a clone or a tribute, THIS IS A REAL SPECIAL EDITION  documented with PHS window sticker, this car properly restored is considered a high dollar TA, is no secret that 77 and 78 SE models are selling in the $60 to $100k range, just browse around on the net and you will discover that. .
