Vehicle Description
1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
1979 Pontiac
Trans AM.
This is the one. Bought by my Grandfather in Ohio,
passed down to my Uncle, then to me. My grandfather
retired from Cadillac and my Uncle from GM/Pontiac. She
has been garaged her entire life and driving just
enough. She currently has
53,256k
original miles. Everything on this car is original, with
the exception of the cd player which is mounted in the
console, to preserve the original radio. She has an
original gorgeous Silver lacquer paint job which looks
absolutely amazing, especially when you consider her
age. Her Body is breathtakingly straight, with
positively no accidents and nothing misaligned on her at
all. Her undercarriage is flawless, with no rust. This
car is a true beauty and a very rare survivor.
Everything works
as it did when it drove off the
factory line. The AC works and so does the heat. She is
powered by a olds 403, which just purrs and runs
perfect. Just hearing her fire up should tell you
everything you need to know, to the trained ear. The
engine has most original parts with the exception of
some hoses. Even the master cylinder is original, as you
can tell by the photo. Brakes are great, lights, etc...
everything operates
as it did in 1979.
She has Red interior, which I think complements the Red
Screaming Chicken and trim quite well. There are no
flaws with the interior. There is a crack down the
center of the original arm rest. I do have a
replacement, however have not put it on yet. Other than
that, its perfect from the dash, to the door panels, to
the headliner, all amazingly perfect. My Uncle is just
getting a little to elderly to take care of his cars so
I had to buy this one from him, before it went to a
cousin or someone who would do who knows what to her.
That's why she's for sale. If you have any questions
please feel free to ask. Asking $24,500. I really do
appreciate you taking the time to read, Thank you.
