This is an exceptionally beautiful and rare 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 Special Edition, powered by its numbers-matching 400 V8 with the highly desirable W72 Performance Package and a factory 4-speed manual transmission.
With only approximately 2,600 four-speed Special Editions produced out of nearly 70,000 Trans Ams built in 1977, these cars are among the rarest and most collectible second-generation Trans Ams ever produced.
As every enthusiast knows, 1977 was the year of the legendary “Smokey and the Bandit” Trans Am, making this one of the most iconic American muscle cars of all time. The W72 4-speed combination represents the ultimate Bandit-era performance package and remains one of the most sought-after Trans Ams from the late 1970s.
This car underwent a high-quality restoration in recent years and still presents beautifully today.
As you’ll notice in the photos, a few tasteful upgrades were incorporated during the restoration, including:
* 160 MPH speedometer
* Cruise control (a feature not originally available on factory 4-speed cars, haven’t test it yet)
