This 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SE Y82 that we are offering today  is finished in black over black and was delivered new to Huber Pontiac of Springfield Illinois.

The car is equipped with the Y82 Special Edition package, which added gold “snowflake” wheels and accents as well as T-top roof panels, special trim, and “Screaming Chicken” graphics. Power comes from a stroker  V8 (which is the original 400 matching numbers but now with increased displacement to create massive Horse poewer ) paired with a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.43:1 Moser 12-bolt rear axle. Equipment includes power steering, power windows, tilt steering, power front disc brakes, electronic ignition, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Hotchkis suspension, and RAMC 18' billet snowflake whees. The car underwent a rotisserie refurbishment during previous ownership, then acquired by trans am specialties and some other work done. Among other upgrades 8k rpm tachometer, 160 mph speedometer, vintage sound with iPod connector,  BF Goodrichs G force.

This 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SE is finished in black over black and was originally delivered to Huber Pontiac in Springfield, Illinois. It is a genuine Y82 Special Edition "Bandit" car, authenticated by PHS documentation. The Y82 package includes gold-accented “snowflake” trim, gold accents, T-top roof panels, special badging, and the iconic “Screaming Chicken” hood graphic.

This Trans Am underwent a painstaking, professional frame-off restoration by Jason Witte, renowned monster truck driver and owner, known for his meticulous attention to detail. The restoration preserved its original character while elevating the car to show-quality condition. Additional upgrades and refinements were later completed by the experts at Trans Am Specialties.

Under the hood, the car retains its numbers-matching stroher Pontiac 400 engine, delivering massive horsepower and torque while maintaining its original block. The build features Doug’s headers, a MagnaFlow stainless steel exhaust system, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock intake manifold for increased airflow and performance. A March serpentine system was added for both function and appearance.

Power is sent through a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission to a Moser 12-bolt rear axle with 3.43:1 gears, providing strong acceleration and reliability. To ensure the chassis can handle the increased power, the car is equipped with subframe connectors for added structural rigidity. Handling and stance are enhanced with a Hotchkis suspension system, and it now rides on stunning 18" modern styled Billet Snowflake wheels by RAMC, wrapped in performance tires. Car comes with a thick file thag includes many receipts, invoices, original build sheet and PHS docs.
