I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere; it turns heads and gets more attention than any other car I have owned.
The engine is a professionally rebuilt 1972 Pontiac 455, bored .030 (7.6 Liters) over which torques out around 355 on regular pump gas. The engine was built to be a great driving engine, it has tons of torque for cruising around town, and yet it has a great lopey idle and is very drivable and easy to drive compared to some other rebuilds that I have owned. There are only 500 miles on the rebuild (330 miles from when we drove it home from having the work done. The car has undergone a complete mechanical inspection and everything that was identified was fixed or replaced. The audio system is top of the line with a new Alpine head unit, and J&L Audio 6.5” speakers in the door and 6*9’s in the rear deck both highlighted with black and silver grills. The system is powered by a J&L Audio 500 watt, 4 channel amp. that will be installed this next week. A hush mat kit was installed on the complete car to improve acoustics.
On the exterior, all bumpers, spoilers, lights etc were removed, repaired, sanded, filled and painted. Bumpers were sent out for a dip removal of the old paint so a flexible primer and paint could be applied to prevent the cracking that can occur with temperature changes that affects many of the cars that are properly restored. All parts were sanded, filled and repainted. Any rust spots (three small ones) that were found were cut out and replaced with clean metal, new trunk to Qtr extensions, rear floor pans, there is no bondo on this car it was all done professionally, and done the right way.
