Vehicle Description
This is an unbelievable survivor 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
Y82 Special Edition
also aka The
Bandit.
Sold in North Carolina back in 1977 and preserved in a garage
covered with blankets for over 40 years ( see pictures of it ),
driven occasionally in summer time, the paint and interior are
original and in incredible condition for a 44 year old car. The
amount of options this car has is also impressive, everything
power is there: PW, PL, PW, power trunk, 25 total in options,
wow!
The car has the ultra rare rear center console!
Also has a/c, tilt and rear window defroster.
As all Y82 it came with Hurst T tops, which are amongst the best
we have seen with virtually no scratches.
The original tires were recently replaced with poly steels (
$400 each) for safety and to preserve the originality.
If the above amount of options were not enough the car was
ordered with factory CB radio!
As last thing, the car comes with a Bandit Tag
autographed by Burt Reynolds.
Needles to say it drives like when it was new, smooth and tight,
unbelievable!
The car is authenticated by Pontiac Historical Services as an
original SE, which wasn’t necessary as we found the original
Build sheet in the car and was intact. All the factory manuals
and brochures also included. The mileage is true and stated on
the title.
This is a museum quality trans am, it does show very minor wear
on some decals ( not all) due to years of buffing and waxing,
that’s how survivors age. The underside is original as you will
see in the photos and not undercoated, perfect floor boards
finished in red oxide primer by the factory, part of
exhaust was replaced at some point with dual mufflers
factory style.
The car still now officially for sale and if you follow the
market on this cars you know is a high dollar Trans Am, so
please contact us if you are interested to discuss.
Financing available for qualified buyers from 10% down, low
rates and up to 12 years term.
