Only 16,599 miles and
this is 1 of only 2.917 available in 1979. That is less than 3%
of the production for 1979. This makes this a real collectable
Pontiac. These are some of the most sought after 2nd Gen TA's on
the market. 1979 marked the culmination of the Best features
built into one TA and also marked the end of the Big Pontiac
V8's. The W72 400 was never to be seen again. The WS6 handling
option received the highly desirable 4 Wheel Disc Brakes and
this put the Trans AM into a new class or performance cars. With
it torque and deep rumble, the 400ci Pontiac was the biggest
engine of the year for GM in a Sports Car. Even the Corvette
would only be offered with a 350ci V8.
This TA is a solid
Survivor that we did some detailing and freshening up on. The
majority of the paint is original. It has a rebuilt engine by
our expert staff here at RAMC. New Wheels, Tires, Interior
updates like carpet, headliner, package tray. Mechanical systems
like Brakes, Cooling system, Heater core and more were all
installed New. Quite honestly, the list of NEW items on this car
