Anthony 77 SE  Trans Am phase I restoration

Work started today 06/13/2007

rear bumper, taillights, spoilers off the car, severe rust in rear quarters and rear panel, will need full quarters and replace metal sheet as needed

need new trunk lid, too much rust to fix, will get one this week.

rear passenger side also rusted

trunk floor also needs work

got an almost new rear bumper!!! all it needs is to be strpped and refinished in black

rust is very bad, as we dig it literally desintegrates

frame rails are useless, will have to find a parts car to fix this, or at least complete frame rails

hard to believe the car was supported by those rails

rear frame rails are much worst, look what we found packed inside and covered with undercoating, napkings towels, etc...

Progress

well, we tried, and tried, but complete rear section is too rusted so we finally decided the only way to save the car was cutting the rear section of a donor F body and replace the entire rear with a healthy section

Brand new tail panel, for 77 lights

Done! The amount of work on this car is beyond imagination...

Good used bumper cover installed (will be black, of course) and tail light grilles

trunk starts to look like factory new!

and of course we  let him drive one of the  SE's we have in our showroom

dash is being put together, all gauges, bezels, etc..
