1979 trans am special edition 4 speed

This is is a 2 owner Trans Am, we bought from second owner who purchased the car in 1986 when car had only 18k miles. This car has been babied all its life, only 24,764 actual miles, if yo are a Special Edition collector this would be the top collectible one, this TA is an original 4 speed car (M21 transmission) with the special performance pontiac 400 ci engine (w72 code) and WS6 handling package that included 15 x 8 snowflake wheels and factory disc brakes. This car also loaded with options such as A/C that blows cold, power windows, tilt wheel, rear defogger ...etc it has a 1980's radio cassette with equalizer, but we do have the original radio that is like new. The car has dual exhaust with headers, it sounds just right, not obnoxious, will include original exhaust manifolds if requested. Interior is in phenomenal shape, seats, carpet, headliner, dash, wheel all in mint condition , see photos below and judge for yourself.

All power options and gauges work properly, and what's more unusual even the clock works!!! Fisher t tops are tight and in excellent shape. Most of the paint was told is original and only few spot touch ups made in the last 31 years, the paint is really nice and shinny , very few imperfections here and there but really barely noticeable, remember is a black car and is not a 2010 model, this is 30 something years old that was kept in top shape . We even have the original Plysteel tires in good shape stored, original radio is being installed now (car came with no particular radio from factory see UN9 code on build sheet at the end of listing) however we preferred the Delco radio for more originality.

This is one of only 1,107 Special Editions ever built by Pontiac with the manual tranny, very RARE bird , with this low miles will be close to impossible to find one for sale, give us a call if this is your dream car or if you want to add a rare one to your collection.

interior in mint condition as you may expect from a low mile car, this car came from factory wired to install any radio (code UN9) however we decided to install an original 79 radio with an upgraded ipod plug, that way you can play music an still have original look, take a look at the photos and enjoy them, you won't see many un restored trans ams in this shape in our life time.
