Florida 1977 Special Edition Y82 FOR SALE sold to Bruce New Zealand follow project here We just found another virtually impossible to get Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition Automatic, W72 400 Ci matching engine, hurst t tops, black on black, is a project car all complete and original, in running condition, tis car was purchased by Bruce from distant New Zealand to be restored for him. Y82, Z code pontiac 400 matching enigne, hurst t tops, factory A/C, car includes CB radio ! we will restore this car back to showroom condition!!!
This is the car the day we purchased it, very faded exterior, but complete, as you can see still retained the pinstripping, all the spoilers and the original snowflake rims.

Restoration started 8/07/07 Phase 1 front body panels removed
next step will separate the complete front end from the body to media blast all the front semi chassis, also all the interior will be out of the car so we can have the seats redone, the door panels, the headliner, the rear tray deck, the carpet, steering wheel, etc. will be all new. STRIPPING STARTED
traditional rust spot in this car wil be cut off and new metal sheet used
all bad spots cut

roof all stripped and reinforced with welding points
many parts had to be replaced either with new (like that trunk lid) or used rust free parts
doors reinstalled after stripped, primed, next is seal
new parts and refinished parts start to align

Painted, curing under warm Florida sun. Next is detail engine bay and refinish rest of before bring to assembly line
had to do a repair on roof due to a reaccion on paint

back to assembly! we are cleaning to start working on it

cover to give final finish to engine bay, dash metal plate, front end...
all refinished and clean!!!

started rebuilding all the brakes, calipers, rotors, pads, lines etc...
