1 of 8? Of course it isnt or the price would be over $2,000,000. What it is, is as close as I think you can get to one of the 8. Read the entire description, review the docs, PHS and the cowl tag. It began with a complete nut and bolt restoration on an outstanding 69 Firebird donor. All the necessary Trans AM parts were purchased as NOS parts, hood fenders, spoiler, etc. An all real numbers matching 70 Ram IV carb to pan was used for the build. Only the best was used to re-create the Convertible 1969 Trans AM. I dont think it can be bettered.
Body: Complete bottom up restoration. All was sand blasted and started from fresh parts. Real NOS Trans AM fenders and hood , quarters door skins, trunk lid, spoiler, front valence, rear valence, hood hinges, windshield, bumpers, grills, side markers, turn signals, tail lamps, emblems, wheel opening moldings, wiring harness, sill plates, weather stripping, trim rings, center caps, lug nuts, door handles, lock cylinders, etcs. If you know the prices of the NOS Trans AM parts currently youll know that there is nearly $30k in Trans AM sheetmetal and body parts on this car. All completed in 1978 and kept in storage and driven very sparingly. The paint looks wonderful 3-4 feet away. The body and the lacquer paint is outstanding. Close up in the right light you can see some light checking on some of the surfaces which really complete the authentic look of the car.
Interior: New blue deluxe comfort weave interior, new seats, custom door panels, carpet, etc. Looks outstanding!
Options: Power top, power antenna, power trunk release, power steering, power disc brakes, fold down rear seat, tilt wheel, in dash tach, with stacked gauges, am/fm 8 track, 4speed w center console, Rally II 14 wheels, 10 bolt 3.55 posi track, very loaded and working options.
Engine: Fresh rebuild on a super rare and correct carb to pan Ram Air IV engine, Ram Air IV exhaust manifolds and exhaust. worth $15k on its own.
Suspension: fresh suspension parts, shocks, springs, brakes, lines, etc.
Transmission: New bearings, synchros, and rebuild, clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing.
No issues anywhere, the Trans AM runs and drives wonderfully. It starts, sounds and idles perfectly and runs very strong. No smoke no issues anywhere. Everything on the car looks very fresh with little to no wear. It is in the condition that could easily place it in a museum or in a garage for the perfect weekend show stealer. It is sure to satisfy even the most discriminating muscle car connoisseur.
